Brusà

From the ancient Japanese Yakisugi technique comes Brusà, a floor lamp characterised by two larch stems from certified northern European forests, which undergo a carbonisation treatment that makes them fire and moisture resistant.

Burning to make eternal

Yakisugi or Shou Sugi Ban is an ancient Japanese woodworking technique dating back to 1300. Given the absence of advanced treatments, the boards were skilfully charred in order to give the wood more durability and increase its resistance to mould and insects, atmospheric agents
and flames.
